No matter whether you access it via app or browser, My Disney Experience has become an essential vacation portal for guests visiting Walt Disney World. From buying tickets and making dining reservations to scheduling FastPass+ and viewing PhotoPass photos, there are a lot of moving parts to this service. And now it looks like some new changes are being made to My Disney Experience in the near future that should improve usability for this ubiquitous service.
1. Web browser users can now use CoBrowse feature with Cast Members

Guests who are using the browser-based version of My Disney Experience now have the option of using CoBrowse, which is a new screen sharing feature that allows Disney Cast Members to see what the guest is seeing on their web browser, and help them to navigate the website.
Once guests engage this feature, they will be given a code to access CoBrowse, which will then pair the cast member’s computer to the guest’s device, and then the Cast Member can use the technology to use the Walt Disney World website remotely and help the guest find the information they need. Of course, the CoBrowse feature is limited to Walt Disney World website, and Cast Members will be unable to access or view anything on a guests’ machine other than an active Walt Disney World window. In addition, guests must be speaking to a cast member on the phone or by chat in order to use CoBrowse.
2. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance changes boarding group window times

Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the massive popularity of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance has prompted a change to boarding groups inside My Disney Experience. Though guests used to have two hours to return to the attraction when a boarding group was called, under a new policy (now in effect), a one hour return window may now given, so guests will need to pay close attention to the notification that they receive from My Disney Experience to ensure they are able to queue with their boarding group.
It is also important to monitor the overall boarding group progress so you don’t find yourself park hopping right before your boarding group is called and then miss your window due to slow transportation or a long wait at another attraction.
3. FastPass+ comes to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

Though you can use My Disney Experience for plenty of things, during your vacation, you probably spend a lot of time looking at FastPass+ reservations. And if you are planning on visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios soon, you should know that FastPass+ is finally available for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run for guests planning visits on or after February 19. As a result of this addition, FastPass+ tiers at this park are also changing, and will have the following structure:
- Tier 1: Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Slinky Dog Dash.
- Tier 2: Toy Story Mania!, Alien Swirling Saucers, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, Star Tours, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Disney Junior Dance Party!, For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, MuppetVision 3D, Fantasmic! and Beauty and the Beast: Live on Stage.
In addition to the tier changes, hours are being adjusted at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so keep an eye out for early morning FastPass+ reservations for Slinky Dog Dash, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and more as this park continues to open early for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
