    3 Surprise Additions Coming Soon to Walt Disney World

    Holiday weeks are always exciting at Walt Disney World, and this one is no different, with some exciting new additions coming to Walt Disney World just in time for Halloween! From the addition of a spooky new offering for Halloween to the return of a recently-cancelled entertainment offering at Epcot, here’s all the limited time additions coming to Walt Disney World this week 

    1. Mariachi Cobre Presents….The Story of Coco returning to Epcot for a limited time

    Mariachi Cobre Presents….The Story of Coco, which features a Miguel puppet and a pair of Folklórico (traditional Mexican folk dance) dancers who perform to the music of the film was sadly cut last month on September 28th. However, it was recently announced that in a surprising development that this popular show will return to the Mexico pavilion at Epcot for a very limited time on October 31-November 2 in celebration of the Día de los Muertos holiday. Here is the official show schedule: 

    • Thursday, Oct. 31 and Friday, Nov. 1 – 11 a.m., 12, 1:30, 2:30 p.m.
    • Saturday, Nov. 2 – 11 a.m., 12, 1, 1:45 p.m.
    It’s definitely exciting to see this show return after being gone for almost a month, and perhaps Disney will consider making this a seasonal offering instead of getting rid of it altogether after this temporary return. 

    2. Disney’s Hollywood Studios new sign coming in a few days

    If you’ve been to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this week, you may have noticed that the iconic archway the leads from the Center Stage area of the park to the Animation Courtyard has been repainted. This in in preperation of the new sign and logo for the park, which is expected to go up in just a few days!

    This new sign was originally unveiled during the 30th anniversary celebration of Disney’s Hollywood Studios and showcases characters from Toy Story, Star Wars, and of course Mickey Mouse, in a nod to Toy Story Land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and the upcoming Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. 

    3. Trick or treating and special character appearances come to Typhoon Lagoon for Halloween

    Though the only way to Trick or Treat at a Walt Disney World theme parks on Halloween has previously been to get t a ticket to Mickey’s Not-so-scary Halloween Party on October 31st, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will offer guests an alternative this week with some special Halloween additions:

    • Trick or Treating: guests can visit three different treat stops at Typhoon Lagoon on October 31st only to grab some Halloween goodies! Treat stops will be at the park’s front entrance, Singapore Sal’s, and Safe Harbor.
    • I-Scream Cone: Available on Halloween only, this special ice cream treat features Orange Dole Whip Soft Serve, a sandwich cookie waffle cone, colorful Halloween sprinkles and a white chocolate surfboard.
    • Halloween character greetings: Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck are ready to celebrate Halloween near the Clock Tower and will be posing for pictures in Pirate Halloween costumes! 
    • Halloween craft: guests who visit Typhoon Lagoon on Halloween can decorate their very own mini-pumpkin in a special holiday crafting area.
