Shop Disney Parks

When the Shop Disney Parks app was introduced in 2016, it was a much-needed addition that allowed guests to check inventory at Disney Parks and shop for select Disney Parks items from home.

However, with the expansion of the My Disney Experience app (which allows guests to search for items using the product availability map and ship select merchandise to home), the Shop Disney Parks app became a little bit superfluous, duplicating much of what was already included in the larger, My Disney Experience app. As a result, Disney has decided to retire the Shop Disney Parks app, effective May 31st.

Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members will continue receiving eligible discounts when shopping from My Disney Experience.

8. Another original concept house announced for Halloween Horror Nights

Image: Universal

After announcing two IP-based houses (Stranger Things and Universal Monsters) and one original house (Nightingales: Blood Pit) Universal has announced yet another house this week: Depths of Fear. Here’s the official description from Universal:

Depths of Fear mixes all the elements of the unknown with underwater elements, monstrous creatures and a countdown to a disastrous fate.

The workers of a deep-sea mining company have found themselves in a dire situation. They’ve delved too deep and encountered a parasitic race of creatures that turn out to be deadly. Panic ensues as you find yourself encountering infected miners and acidic creatures.

The pressure builds as the self-destruct sequence counts down to the inevitable implosion of the facility. “Mouthbrooders” As you venture further into the depths, you’ll encounter the creatures known only as the “Mouthbrooders.” Picture being trapped in a claustrophobic mining installation underwater with a countless number of these slithering monsters. Your worst nightmares will come to life as these fiends spew flesh-eating acidic eggs at human hosts, and you witness miners being driven mad by the infection.
