Though temperatures are still chilly in Central Florida, Walt Disney World is looking forward to the summer and fall seasons, and now have tickets on sale for two popular events later this year, including Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which is once again, starting earlier than ever in 2019, and features more event dates than ever! But that’s not the only returning event…
Tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on sale now
Last year Disney made headlines when it extended Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party into the summer travel season, scheduling dates in August. And now Disney is looking to make this fall event even more of a summer staple, beginning this year’s party one night earlier on August 16th. And in an effort to keep the fun going, Disney will also be ending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party one night later than last year, making for a total of 36 nights for the 2019 edition of this upcharge event. Here are all of this year’s dates as well as general pricing information
- August 20, 27; September 2, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22 – Adult $79, Child $74.
- August 16, 30; September 6, 13, 20, 24, 27, 29, October 1 – Adult $85, Child $80.
- October 3, 6, 8, 10, 14, 15, 17, 20, 21, 24 – Adult $105, Child $100.
- October 4, 11, 18, 25, 27, 29, November 1 – Adult $115, Child $110.
- October 31 – Adult $135, Child $100.
Interestingly, tickets are already on sale, much earlier than we’ve seen in the past. Ticket pricing varies by date, but as you can see, the starting price is $79, up $4 from last year’s lowest price, and the highest-priced ticket is on Halloween night, costing $135. As always Disney will also be offering discounts for guests who are DVC Members or annual passholders. The amount of this discount varies by date, but most guests can save between $5 and $15 by purchasing early or having an affiliation.
No information has been released yet about new shows or entertainment offerings for this year’s event, but as we move closer to the summer we expect some announcements to be made, as Disney continues to try and entice guests to visit Walt Disney World before Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens later this year. Neither the 2018 nor the 2017 edition of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party featured any new shows or entertainment, and it would be strange for Disney to continue to let this event stagnate, even in the face of additional dates and of course rising prices, which is why we’re guessing some new show or attraction will be announced this year.
Disney H2O Glow at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon set to return this summer
Guests who are looking to visit Walt Disney World earlier this summer can also now purchase tickets for the Disney H2O Glow event, which is returning to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon starting May 30. This returning event will take place Thursday and Saturday nights, all through the summer until August 24th.
Tickets can be purchased right now for $69 for adults (plus tax) and $64 for children (plus tax). up slightly from last year’s price points, which were $55 for adults and $50 for children. Guests who purchase tickets can enter Typhoon Lagoon at 6:00 PM, and the upcharge event lasts from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
During this special after hours evening event, guests can enjoy special lighting effects that will transform the water park like never before as Buzz, Woody and Jessie throw a Beach Party inspired by their friend, “Partysaurus” Rex.
In addition to special character meet and greet opportunities as well as event-exclusive dance party, all Typhoon Lagoon attractions (including the new Miss Adventure Falls) will be open during the H2O Glow Nights event as well.
New this year is unspecified entertainment related to the upcoming release of the upcoming Toy Story 4 animated film, which will be released on June 21, 2019. Guests over 21 this year can also visit The Wharf, which is an adults-only area with its own entertainment and a bar with refreshing libations available for purchase.
Are you planning on attending any of the special events coming later this year to Walt Disney World? And how do you feel about the increased prices and even earlier summer start for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
