In ready for summer 2025, Universal will launch its next theme park in Orlando, Florida – Epic Universe. The all-new full-sized park will have multiple lands, an on-site hotel, and is expected to bring a new level of entertainment to the industry. Universal has filed a number of trademarks for potential ride, attraction, and dining offerings.
The expectation is that Epic Universe will have a central space/galaxy/star core, with four themed lands surrounding it. Here is a quick run through of each of the speculated lands and attractions coming to Epic Universe in 2025.
How to Train Your Dragon
Potential Land Name: How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk (link)
The Untrainable Dragon: Most likely a carry-over from Universal Beijing or a very similar live show experience. Universal describes the show as “Watch Hiccup and Toothless attempt to train a new dragon in the village, with the help of Astrid and her dragon, Stormfly.”
Hiccup Wing Gliders: Expected to be the rollercoaster for this land.
Fyre Drill: Reports indicate that this could be an interactive boat ride that incorporates a shooting game element, similar to Men in Black at Universal Studios.
Dragon Racer’s Rally: Another trademark field for the land, but there are no clear reports at this time on what the attraction could be. It could be a gaming-style racing ride or a children’s circular ride similar to Dumbo.
Super Nintendo World
Chairman and CEO of Universal Parks and Resorts, Mark Woodbury announced back in February during the the Super Nintendo World event in Hollywood that Super Nintendo World is confirmed for Universal Orlando Resort.
Donkey Kong Mine Cart Coaster: Expected to be a cutting-edge technology rollercoaster that takes guests through the lush jungles from the Donkey Kong video games, recreating some spectacular jumps and stunts.
Yoshi’s Adventure: A family-friendly ride that Universal describes as “Hang on to Yoshi as you search for Captain Toad on a treasure hunt! Use the Captain’s map to find 3 mysterious eggs!” at their park in Japan.
Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge: Similar to the current rides in Japan and Hollywood, this will be an ‘augmented reality dark ride’ based on the popular video game series.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Potential Land Name: While the initial idea was to structure it around the Fantastic Beasts movie franchise, its lackluster performance at the box office, may result in the more broad ‘Wizarding World’ name.
Place Cachee: As seen in the Fantastic Beasts movies, this area is expected to serve as Paris’ version of Diagon Alley and have a similar immersive build and level of detail. Like Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, expect a wand shop, a creatures store, a Persian cafe, and more.
Battle for the Ministry of Magic: This will be a huge indoor attraction, but exactly what it will be remains a mystery. Some reports theorize a dark ride similar to Escape from Gringotts at Universal Studios or The Forbidden Journey at Islands of Adventure. However, considering building diagrams have shown a large auditorium being built this structure may end up housing both a live-action show, something that is missing from the other two Harry Potter lands and is a common feature at Disney, as well as a dark ride.
Universal Monsters
Potential Land Name: Dark Universe
Curse of the Werewolf: A ‘spinning’ rollercoaster.
Frankenstein’s Manor: A high-tech dark ride taking guests through the frightening home of Frankenstein.
Based on construction images there appears to be another unconfirmed large indoor attraction that will be added to this land.
Central Core
This will be the area that runs through the center portion of the park from the gate to the hotel, connects to the four lands, and features multiple water displays.
Constellation Carousel: Very center of the park, a large multi-circle space-themed carousel.
Starfall Racers: Dual track roller coaster. This is the giant yellow coaster often seen in construction images.
The Oak & Star Tavern: While not expected to be an attraction Universal did file a trademark for what appears to be a themed restaurant for the area.
