Walt Disney World is magical all year round, with an endless sense of festivities in the air. But with Fall only just around the corner, you can expect an extra sprinkling of fairy dust thanks to the resort’s 50th year anniversary celebrations kicking off this October. Outside the celebrations, though, there are other events to look forward to, such as Halloween and the Holidays, and new attractions. So, here’s everything new coming to Disney World this Fall…

1. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure – France Pavilion, Epcot

Walt Disney World is no stranger to ‘shrinking’ guests so that they can see the world through the eyes of toys and other small beings, so it won’t surprise you to learn that, on October 1, Epcot will be hosting an all-new attraction in the form of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, in which guests will finally be able to place themselves in the scuttering shoes of Remy as they explore a hazardous Parisian kitchen and beyond.

The 4D experience celebrates Pixar’s animated classic Ratatouille, and is modelled off the attraction of the same name at Disneyland Paris. The simulator-based ride has been designed to alter your senses and surroundings, as you shrink to the size of Remy himself. Sound fun? Definitely! But a rat exploring busy kitchens and dining rooms is also a recipe for disaster!

2. Disney’s Enchantment – Cinderella Castle & Main Street, U.S.A., Magic Kingdom Park

How can you make the likes of Magic Kingdom Park even more magical? It seems like quite an impossible feat, especially considering that the park already seems to have hit its maximum overload in all things fairy dust. But just when you thought things couldn’t shine brighter, along comes Disney’s Enchantment, which will debut on October 1 as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations.

Cinderella Castle through Main Street, U.S.A. will host a night-time extravaganza like never before, as the resort begins its epic milestone celebrations. Expect enhanced lighting, impressive pyrotechnics, bombastic fireworks, all-new music and laser-projected animation effects, in a show that celebrates love, friendship, hope and dreams – things people will surely need after a tough year. 3. Harmonious – World Showcase Lagoon, Epcot

You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to epic night-time shows at Disney World this Fall. While Magic Kingdom Park hosts the incredible Disney’s Enchantment, Epcot will boast its very own, in the form of Harmonious, a musical extravaganza that celebrates art, song and stories from all around the globe, in true Epcot fashion.

Fireworks, water effects, lightning, visuals and animations will help make up this moving masterpiece, which encompasses over a dozen languages and art from 240 artists. And you’ll get double the experience, as Harmonious takes place on World Showcase Lagoon, so you can enjoy the sky-high show while it’s also reflected in the dark, glassy waters below. It’s not all about the 50th anniversary celebrations, as this Fall will also herald the arrival of Disney’s After Hours Boo Bash, an assortment of Halloween-themed tricks and treats throughout Magic Kingdom Park, which will be so spook-tacular, you might think someone has kicked out the residents of Haunted Mansion, leaving them to roam the park till their dead hearts content.

So what kind of thrilling tricks and chilling treats can you expect? Well, for starters, Halloween Cavalcades, which include Mickey’s Happy Halloween Cavalcade, Disney Villain Halloween Cavalcade and Jack’s Nightmare Cavalcade, will parade through Magic Kingdom Park, as well as Maleficent in the form of a dragon! And be on the look out for characters too, such as Goofy and residents from Haunted Mansion.

5. 50th Anniversary Celebrations, Halloween & Holidays Décor

Even putting all things attractions and expNothing spells Fall like seasonal décor. Except this year there are going to be a number of themes across all four theme parks and beyond. In fact, so much so, that you won’t quite know where to look.

The 50th anniversary celebrations, starting October 1, will see the parks covered in all kinds of décor. Halloween décor (already in full swing) will adorn the parks in something frightful, while the Holidays (which start November 12) will bring something more delightful. But it’s not just décor – there’s themed foods, photo opportunities, music, merchandise, night-time events, characters and more.

6. Festive Flotillas – Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Starting on November 12, each of the four theme parks will be celebrating the Holidays in their own way, but in the case of Disney’s Animal Kingdom , you can expect some very character-centric experiences in the form of Festive Flotillas. These elegant water-set character sightings at Discovery River will certainly make up for all those lost Character Greetings over the past year.

But who can you expect? Well, there’s Donald’s Dino Bash Festive Flotilla, which will host the titular duck and friends; Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Festive Flotilla, which will be boarded by everyone’s favorite chipmunks; and, last but not least, Santa Claus Festive Flotilla, which will really get you into the seasonal spirit, as he cruises to the beat of some truly holly, jolly music!

Just remember that these are only hand-picked experiences that are coming up this Fall. Others include the Beacons of Magic, Disney Fab 50 Character Collection, and many other brand-new experiences throughout the four theme parks, as well as entertainment district Disney Springs.
