9 Lesser-Known Gift Shops That EVERYONE Should Visit at Walt Disney World

Gift shopping on your Walt Disney World vacation, while expensive, is one of the best ways to find a little piece of magic to take home. While some shops, like the massive emporium on Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, are nearly impossible to miss, others are set back a bit from the general guest flow. If you’re looking for unique finds in shops that are easily missed, check out these ten stops.

    1. Bonjour! Village Gifts at Magic Kingdom

Bonjour! Village Gifts is a charming little gift shop in the Beauty and the Beast courtyard of the new Fantasyland area. It’s set back from the street, so you won’t see it unless you head past the Gaston fountain and further into the area. This shop is a must see for any fans of Beauty and the Beast. You’ll find some of the most exquisite Belle-themed merchandise here, with everything from dinnerware to artwork.

    2. The Briar Patch at Magic Kingdom

The Briar Patch is themed to Splash Mountain, but the ride doesn’t exit through this gift shop, so it’s easy to miss. You’ll see it just up the street from the entrance to Splash Mountain. For gifts themed to the attraction or to Frontierland in general, this is a fun stop. It’s also worth looking up when you’re inside to see Brer Rabbit’s home.

    3. Castle Couture at Magic Kingdom

Castle Couture is located just behind Cinderella Castle in Fantasyland. Look for Cinderella’s fountain and you’ll spot this fun store nearby. It’s filled with princess themed merchandise set to please any girl, young or old. In addition to serving as a gift shop, this area also has a photo studio where Photopass Photographers will snap your pictures. You can have the photos taken free of charge, but as with all PhotoPass pictures, you do have to pay to purchase them. While dresses are not available to borrow, you can purchase some princess attire here, or simply have your photo taken in the day’s attire.

    4. House of Good Fortune at Epcot

House of Good Fortune is an extensive gift shop located in the China pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase. If you don’t head back into the country, you’ll miss it entirely. While Reflections of China does dump near one of the entrances to the shop, it does not exit directly into it as most attractions do. This gift shop is massive and definitely worth a stroll for the beautiful kimonos, vases, jewelry, hair pins, origami, and other items.

    5. Casablanca Carpets at Epcot

Casablanca Carpets is a bazaar located back in Morocco. It looks, sounds, and even smells like a busy outdoor marketplace, giving the entire area a very authentic feel. While the small quarters and overpowering incense can be a bit much, it’s worth a visit for the unique products you’ll find, including Moroccan home décor and apparel.

    6. Plume et Palette at Epcot

Plume et Palette is one of the gift shops found in the France pavilion of Epcot. However, it’s not the shop that you’ll pass through after the movie, so it’s easy to miss if you’re not paying attention. This shop is ideal for guests who are interested in French cuisine. You’ll find cookbooks, ready-made snacks, and even a kit for cooking your own escargot.

    7. It’s a Wonderful Shop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

It’s a Wonderful Shop is a tiny Christmas store at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You’ll find it on the Streets of America near Muppet Courtyard. This little shop is off to the side and easy to miss if you’re not looking for it. If you’re interested in any type of Christmas décor, this is the place to go at DHS. Disney sells holiday items year-round at several locations like this so you can always take home a special ornament or holiday cookbook, even if your visit doesn’t coincide with the season.

    8. Mombasa Marketplace at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Mombasa Marketplace is a gift shop near the back of Africa, by Kilimanjaro Safaris. While it’s fairly sizable, there are no attractions dumping into it, and the food carts outside can make it difficult to get past and see what’s inside. The street wares spilling out of the marketplace offer only a hint of what you’ll find here. This gift shop offers African art, musical instruments, jewelry, and clothing. It also has many items themed to African wildlife such as books, apparel, and plush animals.

    9. Yak and Yeti Bhaktapur Market in Animal Kingdom

This tiny gift shop in Asia is so small it’s more difficult to find it than to miss it. At first glance, you may think it seems too cramped to bother heading inside, but this spot has some of the best finds in the park. The prices are stunningly low for merchandise at Walt Disney World, and you’ll find great little home décor items, jewelry, and accessories. You can even find things marked down from their original price so you’re snagging beautiful items for just a few dollars.

If you’re looking to take home the perfect souvenir from Walt Disney World, don’t miss these great stops on your next tour of the parks.
