Summer is about to get started at Walt Disney World and the resort is getting ready for high guest levels with plenty of deals now available for room stays, merchandise, dining and more.
If you are thinking about going to a Disney park in the near future (and especially if you are staying on property, an annual passholder or Florida Resident), here are some easy ways you can save some money that you should definitely know about!
1. New discounted multi-day ticket now available for Florida residents
A new ticket deal for Florida residents gives those with proof of residency the ability to buy a 4-Day Disney Summer Magic Ticket for just $58 per day (total $229 plus tax). A specially priced 3-day ticket is also available for $70 per day (total $209 plus tax).
These specialty tickets are valid from now through September 29, with the exception of blockout dates from July 1- 4, and September 1- 4). Advance theme park reservations are required for guests using this ticket.
Tickets expire 7 days after first use. Park hopper and water park options can be added to these tickets for an additional fee, and additional fees, such as parking, apply.
2. Annual Passholders can save more this summer on food and merchandise thanks to an increased discount
As part of its “VIPassholder” event happening this summer, Disney has announced that the Annual Passholder merchandise discount across Walt Disney World Resort will temporarily increase from 20% to 30% during the month of June. Guests can use this increased discount on virtually anything at Disney owned and operated stores, so if you’ve had you’re eye on something specific, now might be the time to buy it if you’re a passholder!
In addition, Annual Passholders will be able to enjoy an increase from 10% to 20% discount for food and nonalcoholic beverages at select locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort during the same period.
3. Room only discounts now available for select summer stays through mid-September
Disney has announced several summer hotel discounts that allow guests to save up to 25% on stays most nights July 11 – August 20, and September 15 to September 28. These discounts are on rooms only, and do not need to be purchased as part of a package deal.
Guests planning to visit the resort later this summer can also save up to 30% on stays most nights from August 21 to September 14.
The amount of the discount varies by date and hotel type, with the more expensive deluxe hotel categories getting the biggest discounts. More information about this deal is available at the official Walt Disney World resort website here.
