1. Genie+ and Lightning Lane a big hit according to Disney CEO Bob Chapek
When discussing Disney’s most recent financial results, Bob Chapek recently revealed that the Genie+ upcharge has been very popular with guests, saying in an interview that more than a third of domestic park guests purchased either Genie+, Lightning Lane, or both, with more than 50% purchasing the upcharge during the holiday period.
2. Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade comes to the Magic Kingdom
The new Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade debuted this week at the Magic Kingdom featuring thirty characters, including ones from Moana, Coco, The Jungle Book, Zootopia and more.
3. “Capture your Moment” private PhotoPass sessions coming to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Guests are now able to book 20-minute private PhotoPass “Capture Your Moment” sessions at EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, beginning February 24 and March 21 respectively. The price for these sessions has also been raised from $50 to $79.
4. Walt Disney World parks pass reservations now available through 2024
Walt Disney World parks pass availability calendar now extends all the way to January 2024, so those planning trips in the next two years can make sure to get your advance reservations in.
5. Disney “working towards” restoring entertainment and dining to pre-pandemic levels
When discussing Disney’s most recent quarterly financial results, Bob Chapek confirmed that Disney is working behind the scenes to try and bring back full capacity dining and entertainment experiences as much as possible to try and bring the theme park experience back to its pre-Pandemic state as soon as possible.
6. Hours extended at Walt Disney World theme parks again

7. Universal Studios Florida Drops mask requirement
Universal Orlando Resort has updated their mask policy on their official website to state that masks are now once again optional for guests indoors. Previously, masks were required inside due to the COVID-19 Omicron surge.
8. Peppa Pig theme park announces menu for Miss Rabbit’s Diner
Peppa Pig Theme Park, which opens in just a few months, has announced some menu items for Miss Rabbit’s Diner, which will serve plenty of kid-friendly fare including grilled cheese sandwiches, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, chicken salads, delicious pizzas and baked mac and cheese. For the adults, dining location will offer an exotic rice and quinoa bowl, a juicy smoked brisket melt and Margherita-styled flatbread. The restaurant will also offer plenty of sweet treats including signature chocolate or strawberry Muddy Puddle Milkshakes.
