It’s impossible to visit the Magic Kingdom without walking through Main Street. This stretch of shops is the first and last thing you’ll see in the park. Whether you’re anxious to spend some major cash first thing in your day, or you have a little surplus burning through your pocket later in the night, this area offers several shops with high-end goods that can put a big dent in your souvenir budget.
1. Blown Glass Bowls: $95
Crystal Arts on Main Street is one of the best places to go if you’re looking for pricey pieces. One of the biggest highlights of the store is the studio at the far end where you can watch artists work on blown glass pieces. You can even have a custom ornament made just for you.
Some of the more expensive items in the blown glass display are these stunning bowls. Themed to your favorite characters, these would make a breathtaking centerpiece in any home. Pictured here are bowls distinctly colored for Mickey and Elsa. Each bowl is $95.
2. Main Street Miniatures: $300+
Though you wouldn’t know it from the name, the Main Street Cinema features an art gallery. The Olszewski Collection here features miniature versions of the buildings on Main Street. The Casey’s Corner piece is the most expensive in the display at $395. The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor is $335. The Market House is just under the three hundred mark at $275. These collectables look best in sets, but you’ll easily spend a thousand dollars or more collecting them all.
3. Dooney and Burke Bags: $300+
Uptown Jewelers houses an extensive collection of Disney themed purses and bags. Though the Vera Bradley display often takes center stage, this store also offers several stunning Dooney and Burke bags with your favorite Disney characters on them. If you’re looking for a fashion-forward way to show your Disney side, this is the perfect choice. The bag pictured here is $358. Other styles run in the same price range.
4. Original Artwork: $1,000+
The Main Street Cinema features an ever-changing display of original artwork from several different artists. The pieces all have one thing in common – the theme is somehow related to Disney. Whether you want a contemporary piece featuring a beloved princess or painting of Cinderella Castle, this store is a good place to find it. You never know exactly what will be on the walls. For those on a budget, reprints are available for much less. Originals like this Thomas Kinkade Sleeping Beauty are easily over a thousand dollars. The painting pictured here is $1,100.
5. Crystal Character: $8,900
Crystal Arts is appropriately named for the crystal pieces you’ll find inside. If you’re looking for something with serious sparkle, there are several crystal covered characters for you to choose from. The Sorcerer Mickey here is $8,900. Pieces change often, so pop in and see what’s on display.
6. Cinderella Castle: $37,500
This breathtaking crystal reproduction of Cinderella Castle is the centerpiece of Crystal Arts for good reason. It’s in a lighted display case and rotates continuously so you can see how it catches the light and admire the piece from all sides. You may want to invest in a similar case yourself if you’re considering taking something like this home. You could buy a car for the same price as this $37,500 piece.
If you have some extra money to burn through, there are plenty of options for you to spend it on Main Street. As you’re heading into the park, stick to the shops on the right side of the street to find the pricier goods.
