4 Dining Changes at Disney Parks ALL Guests Should Be Aware Of (September 2021)

Though it may not initially seem like it, Disney parks have truly come into their own in recent years as a real food lover’s paradise. If you count yourself as one of the many who love eating their way around the Disney parks and resorts, there are some big changes taking effect right now you should know about.

This month we get several new openings at EPCOT, a returning favorite event is announced for the holiday season, plus an exciting limited-time offering at the Contemporary Resort’s California Grill is announced.

    1. Space 220 now open

Nearly two years after it was originally supposed to open, Space 220 is now open at EPCOT. After a short ceremony, this restaurant opened to walkup guests, with queues quickly forming and some guests waiting hours to be among the first to dine at this intergalactic new location.

This new table service restaurant features a prix-fixe menu where guests can enjoy either a two-course lunch for $55 or a three-course dinner for $79. You can check out the full menu for this futuristic location here. Reservations can be booked now for dates starting on September 27, 2021.

    2. California Grill announced 50th anniversary prix-fixe menu

California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort has announced that it will celebrate Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary with a new limited time three course prix fixe menu that will be available beginning October 1, 2021. This dining experience will cost $89 per person (ages 10 and up), and $39 per child (ages 3 to 9). You can check out the full menu for this limited time event here

    3. Club Cool now open at EPCOT

Club Cool’s new location near the Creations Shop is now open, giving guests the chance to try free samples of soda from around the world. Once inside guests will be able to check out the following sodas:

    • Beverly (Italy)
    • Bon Bon Anglais (Madagascar)
    • Country Club Merengue (Dominican Republic)
    • Minute Maid Joy Apple Lychee (Korea)
    • Royal Wattamelon (Philippines)
    • Smart Sour Plum (China)
    • Sprite Cucumber (Russia)
    • Viva Raspberry (Moldova)

Understandably this location has been very popular since reopening with guests queuing at the entrance, but waits have been moderate so far, and will hopefully subside in the weeks ahead.

    4. Candlelight Processional dining package to return

It has been confirmed that after a year away due to COVID-19 EPCOT will be bringing back its fan-favorite Candlelight Processional event from November 26 through December 30, as part of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Disney has also confirmed that the fan-favorite Candlelight Processional Dining Packages will be returning, with more information to be released in the near future.
