It is important for guests visiting Universal Orlando Resort to know which rides and attractions are being refurbished to avoid disappointment. It can be difficult to keep up to date with the changing schedules so we are collating the current list of refurbishments planned for Universal Orlando Resort during March.
We are pleased to announce that Poseidon’s Fury which was previously on the refurbishment list for March has now reopened at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges at Universal’s Islands of Adventure has also now reopened after its annual refurbishment.
We are including dates where possible but these are subject to change. We will keep you informed of any changes on our news and Facebook page.
1. Revenge of the Mummy (Universal Studios)
The popular Revenge of the Mummy attraction closed at Universal Studios on January 7, for a lengthy refurbishment. Details of what is being done hasn’t been released but we are guessing some major behind-the-scenes work involving the track, show scenes, or both will be undertaken during such an extensive refurbishment.
The ride is set to reopen at the end of the Summer but an exact date has not been given as of yet.
2. Caro-Seuss-el (Universal’s Islands of Adventure)
Caro-Seuss-el continues to be closed at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. It is currently undergoing a major refurbishment and work is being done on its roof. We are not expecting this attraction to reopen anytime soon and it looks certain it will remain closed for the whole of March.
Caro-Seuss-el is located in Seuss Landing where zany Seuss creations replace the usual horses, the whacky, whirling Caro-Seuss-el is also interactive like no other carousel on Earth. Tugging the reigns would make eyes blink, tails wag, and tongue flick in unprecedented ways. We are excited to see what changes have been made to this ride during its refurbishment when it reopens. What we do know for sure is that you will definitely be in for a fun and crazy ride.
There has been rumors online of a potentially late Summer reopening for Caro-Seuss-el but nothing has been confirmed regarding this just yet.
3. Kala & Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slides (Volcano Bay)
Kala & Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slides are listed as currently closed at Volcano Bay for refurbishment. We haven’t got a reopening date for this attraction but we are hoping that these high energy, thrilling slides will be back in action very soon.
We will keep you up to date with any changes to this refurbishment schedule on our news and Facebook page and we will post our next Universal refurbishment article at the beginning of April 2022.
