3 MORE New Upcharge Experiences Announced for Walt Disney World

Upcharge experiences are definitely the new normal at Walt Disney World, and this month has brought some interesting updates for guests looking to add a little something “extra” to their next trip to the resort. And though we already took a look at some new upcharge experiences earlier this week, there have been even more additions to the upcharge lineup! From a very expensive new upcharge inside Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom to a Lion King-inspired dining experience and even a foodie’s dream VIP tour, here are all the new extras at Walt Disney World you’ll want to know about!

    1. Signature Celebration Package at Cinderella’s Royal Table now available for booking

Disney has announced a brand new upcharge experience for guests who want to visit Cinderella’s Royal Table Priced at $199 plus tax and gratuity for adults and $169 for children, this special upcharge package includes a character dining experience in the castle, reserved fireworks viewing in the West Plaza Garden, and an after fireworks dessert party. Guests will also be able to take pictures at a special a meet and greet with Cinderella and Prince Charming upon arrival at Cinderella’s Royal Table, and will recieve a special box of chocolates as a parting gift. No discounts for annual passholders or DVC members are offered.

For those wondering about the value of this new package, dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table typically costs between $60-$80, not including tax and gratuity and the Happily Ever After Fireworks Dessert Party costs $69 for adults and $41 for children, making this package more expensive than the sum of its parts, which is something to consider before booking.

While the meet and greet makes this a little bit more upscale than just a regular meal and dessert party booking, if you’re able to snag seperate reservations for Cinderella’s Royal Table and the fireworks dessert party, that might be a better way to go.

    2. Taste of Magic Kingdom VIP Tour

Though there are plenty of choices when it comes to VIP tours, there’s only one that allows foodies to get an up close look at all the best on the menu at the Magic Kingdom, you’ll want to book the Taste of Magic Kingdom VIP Tour.

For $99 guests can grab bites of iconic Magic Kingdom snacks, hear stories from chefs and cast members, and even get an insider’s look at the creation of new menu items. The tour also includes exclusive and unprecedented access to backstage kitchens and working areas that have never before been seen by guests. VIP Tour guests can also help Disney culinary artists create the next generation of Magic Kingdom park food by sampling an item that is still in development.

This experience is currently offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and is 3 hours long. In addition, guests must be at least 16 years of age to participate in this experience, making this one tour that is not a good fit for families with young children.
