This month will already be bringing a number of reopenings to Walt Disney World, but now the resort is adding some exciting dining options to the mix with the return of several fan-favorite restaurants, two of which will be reopening with modified character offerings:
1. Chef Mickey’s – Dinner service (May 16, 2021)
Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be adding family-style dinner with character appearances later this month that will include “Chef Mickey’s Caesar,” citrus-poached shrimp salad, and assorted breads; main courses of gnocchi, roasted garlic potato Gratin, plant-based faro wheat fried rice, prime rib, roasted turkey, and salmon; and an assortment of sweets. Reservations for this character dining experience open later this week on May 7 2021.
2. Cape May Café (May 18, 2021)
Cape May Café at Disney’s Beach Club Resort will also be reopening later this month for breakfast and dinner family-style service. This location’s breakfast menu will feature pastries (including the layered crispy, cream-filled “Lobster Tail”), omelets, and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse waffles. Dinner will include house-made Parker House rolls and corn bread, a seafood boil with a variety of fresh seafood, The Turf Platter with steak and chicken, and lobster mac and cheese. Reservations will open later this week on May 7, 2021.
3. Tusker House (Summer 2021)
Finally, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, modified character dining will coming to Tusker House later this summer, along with family-style entrees inspired by the flavors of Africa! During this experience guests can snap photos of Donald Duck and friends, dressed in their safari best as they walk through through the restaurant. Reservation and opening dates have not been released yet.
