This is the weekly news, rumors and refurbishments update for Walt Disney World for the week of March 15, 2015.
Here are the three biggest updates from around the resort for the past seven days.
1. Take a look at the new Disney Polynesian Villas and Bungalows
The Polynesian Villas and Bungalows open on April 1, but we got a look inside.
Here are the Deluxe Studios.
On to the Bungalows.
Pricing for the Bungalows vary between $2100 and $2900 depending on the season. Although beautiful, with many elegant touches, I personally think the Bungalows are a bit small for a price that steep.
Sunset Pointe.
The Tiki was also placed in the Great Ceremonial House, completing the lobby.
To me itโs saying โWhat more do you wantโ.
2. New Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party begins in July
Starting July 5, 2015 the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party will be transformed into a more upscale Wishes Dessert Party. Being a Dessert Party Cast Member, I believe the new Dessert Party is correcting many issues of the current Dessert Party.
Of course the upgraded party will come with an upgraded price of $49 per adult and $29 per child. The new party will include tablecloths, table lighting, and new desserts including character-themed cupcakes. You can find more details here.
3. You can now eat breakfast at Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom Park
From now until June 18, 2015 you can make reservations for a prix fixe breakfast at Be Our Guest Restaurant from 8am to 10am.
Here’s how Disney describes it:
“The fast casual breakfast menu has a decidedly French touch; each meal begins with a pastry basket for sharing. Your entrรฉe options include assorted cured meat and cheese served with marmalade, fresh fruit and a toasted baguette. You can also enjoy eggs Florentine served in a puff pastry shell with country ham and roasted plum tomatoes. Even the open-face bacon-and-poached-egg sandwich has Brie.
If youโre looking for something a little lighter, choose the scrambled egg whites with roasted tomatoes, multigrain croissant and fresh fruit. Or go with a vegetable quiche with mushroom, zucchini, bell pepper, onion and chive, served with seasonal fruit. The prix fixe menu will also include a selection of self-service beverages.
But the decadent start to the day is the Croissant Doughnut: a fried doughnut topped with banana caramel sauce, chocolate ganache and whipped cream.
The kidsโ menu includes brioche French toast with fresh fruit, scrambled eggs with Applewood bacon and fresh fruit, fruit crepes with yogurt and fresh fruit with a berry foam, cereal and oatmeal.”
I couldn’t have said it better myself.
