This is the weekly news, rumors and refurbishments update for Walt Disney World for the week of April 26, 2015.
Here are the three biggest updates from around the resort for the past seven days.
1. Photo update of the Magic Kingdom Central Plaza expansion
This week we take a look around the ever changing Central Plaza at Magic Kingdom Park. New planters are being built around the south side of the Partners statue.
The castle turrets that will house lighting and show equipment are now in place.
Regrading of the landscape continues to complete the second ring around the hub.
The entire project should be complete by the end of this year.
2. The Harambe Market will open later this month at Animal Kingdom
With the opening of the Port of Harambe last year, the Harambe Market will soon open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The new quick service dining location will be on the opposite side of the Harambe Theater or to your right when entering Africa. This should complete the expansion of Africa and greatly relieve congestion in Harambe.
3. A preview for Disney Pixar Inside Out will be playing at Epcot later this month
Following the ‘Tomorrowland’ preview currently playing at the Imagination Pavilion theater, a new preview for ‘Inside Out’ will debut. The ‘Tomorrowland’ preview will be ending on May 24th with the preview for ‘Inside Out’ beginning May 30th.
‘Inside Out’ premiers in theaters June 19th and no date has been given as to when the preview will end or if Captain EO will be returning.
