16-Foot Te Fiti Statue Now In Place For Journey of Water Attraction at EPCOT

Yesterday morning, EPCOT welcomed the huge 16-foot tall statue of Te Fiti, the Mother Island and Goddess from Moana to the trail for the upcoming attraction, Journey of Water. We first got a glimpse of this statue when a detailed scale model was displayed at D23 Expo.

Journey of Water will be a walk-through attraction that aims to educate guests on the global cycle of water through lush environments and interactive experiences, all inspired by Disney’s Moana.

Te Fiti’s expected position within the attraction can be seen in some recently released concept art, which you can view below, although it is not yet known if the character will have a bigger part to play in the attraction when it officially opens.

Te Fiti’s presence within the attraction is likely to delight many fans and certainly teases just how beautiful Journey of Water will be once it eventually opens its doors to guests. While there is no set opening date for Journey of Water Inspired by Moana just yet, the attraction is expected to debut in late 2023.
