Key Information
Slammer is one of only two S&S Sky Swat rides to have been built (the other being Catapult at Six Flags New England). The ride has, though, suffered from frequent downtime since its delayed opening in 2005.
When in action, Slammer resembles a large fly swat. It sees guests sitting in paddle-shaped gondolas at either end of a large arm, which is raised to around 50 feet. It then spins around in a circular motion, sending riders swooping from 105 feet down to ground level repeatedly. Loading times can be lengthy, with over-the-shoulder restraints required to keep thrill-seekers in their seats.
